Here's an annoyingly unhelpful teaser of a new Pownce-related thing I've been working on with a few friends lately. It's the first piece of really original design I've done in a while, which has been refreshing. After working on iterating and refining the same two projects (Digg + Pownce) for the last few years, it's nice to sink my teeth into a fresh, untouched problem! I can't wait to see this project breathe in the next couple of weeks (hopefully!).

Looks like some parts of some kind of media player? Playlist, search, artist...the yellow bar being part of the scrubber maybe?

The yellow bit looks like it could be a progress bar. What's a "scrubber"? I'm not familiar with that term.

Daniel - Looks very fun and promising, although we do not know what it is. I do like the color scheme, however. Can't wait to hear more.

Jim - If I am not mistaken, the scrubber is the little slider on media players that lets you pick a position in a piece of media.

I cuncur. It has to be a media player that plays any audio posted on Pownce.
This would be in-step with the recent "public MP3" push.

The difficulty is keeping it active while using Pownce. A frameset perhaps?
A popup? A desktop app?

From what I can see, the UI looks nice. Def. a media player, can see "Playlist and artist" in the teaser. Stoked!

If you look at the source of site, the image he posted is actually a larger image that's masked.

A look at the full image reveals a new upload link and an avatar in the top right hand corner with the Logout link... any thoughts?

Wonder if pwnce could integrate with mybloop.com and fetch music and music playlists from Mybloop.com, we'd be willing to help.

Pownce would save a lot in bw and storage, we already have the technology built, and we have a python API, I believe pwnce is written in python (django) no?
